Vivienne sought inspiration from visits to the Natural History Museum London, Manchester Museum and Cliffe Castle Keighley. She sought out the collections of insects to observe and draw in detail.
She felt that the drawing was a very important aspect of ‘Extra Ordinary’ project and was keen to retain this 'drawn' element through the entire process right through to the end designs.
In this collection she incorporates print, embroidery and laser cut techniques throughout the series.
