Vivienne is an exciting and innovative freelance artist and designer based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK. She has a BA (Hons) degree in ‘Contemporary Surface Design & Textiles’ and has a studio at The Artworks, an art school and gallery based in an old Textile Mill. She is also a member of The Bradford Textile Society.
Primarily she likes to hand-draw her designs, but she also uses digital processing to create her unique pieces.
Her work incorporates the use of screen printing, digital printing, hand stitched embroidery, hand knitted techniques. She also likes to introduce three-dimensional constructed textiles into much of her work giving it a feeling of movement, adding texture and breathing life into inanimate objects.
She specialises in bespoke art work and contemporary costume jewellery products. She has created a beautiful range of hand crafted brooches, bracelets, necklaces, hand printed luxury silk scarves.
Her framed artwork is made to order and she invites both commercial and private commissions tailored to the clients specific requirements.
